Panthers’ Dream Receiving Duo Takes Shape: 34 TD Star WR to Join Xavier Legette in…
One thing is clear for the Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young will be the starting quarterback in 2025. He hasn’t exactly lit up the stat sheet, but Young’s confidence has soared since taking back the starting job from Andy Dalton and has flashed enough to warrant another season to prove himself.
That means Carolina needs to do the right thing and surround their former No.1 pick with more weapons. They drafted Xavier Legette this past year and he’s been solid, but the Panthers need a true No.1 threat in 2025. Bleacher Report has them signing Cincinnati Bengals star Tee Higgins in free agency.
The Panthers are projected to have just over $32 million in cap space for 2025, so they should be able to land Higgins on a smaller cap hit for next season. Higgins has been the No.2 in Cincinnati behind Ja’Marr Chase, but has still performed extremely well.
Over five seasons with the Bengals, Higgins has caught 326 passes for 4,542 yards and 34 touchdowns while averaging 13.9 yards per reception. He has two 1,000 yard seasons under his belt from 2021-2022 and still has a chance to reach the mark this season, as Higgins currently sits at 858 with one game left.
