Report: Micah Parsons Speaks Out! Cowboys’ Star Addresses Trade Rumors and Sets the…

As the season has unfolded, Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons has been the subject of trade rumors.

Coming into this year, the Cowboys issued large contract extensions to quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Parsons would be next in line to get paid, but some have speculated that Dallas could opt to trade the three-time Pro Bowler rather than five him top of the line money.

In the past, Parsons has been adamant that he wants to be “a Cowboy for life,” and he made that clear once again on his podcast Monday night.

“Like I said, y’all know I’m going to be a Cowboy for life,” Parsons said. “We’re going to figure out a way for me to be a Cowboy for life. I think Jerry and Stephen [Jones] see it that way too.”

To be fair, Parsons is correct that, at least publicly, the two Joneses are saying all the right things about keeping him around.

“We love Micah,” Stephen Jones said recently. “I can’t imagine there’s a scenario where he’s not wearing a star on his helmet.”

“Obviously we’re totally all in on Dak and CeeDee,” he added. “But after that, then you still shape things, including Micah. But Micah’s a great player. You don’t do well in this league letting guys like Micah, usually, leave the house.”

Parsons, who has recorded 32 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 10 games this year while missing four weeks due to injury, had another message for Cowboys fans on his show Monday: get ready for a “great” offseason

“I do think we’re going to attack free agency. I think it’s going to be a great year. I think we got the pieces, man,” Parsons said.

After beating the Carolina Panthers Sunday, the Cowboys are 6-8 with three games remaining. They’ll take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home on Sunday Night Football this week before closing out the season against the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
