Second level revival: Vikings defense poised for success against…
The Minnesota Vikings linebacker corps is getting healthier and just in time for a three-game road trip. Both inside linebackers Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace Jr. were limited in practice. Here is the full injury report.
OLB Gabe Murphy (knee): Did not practice
ILB Blake Cashman (toe): Limited
ILB Ivan Pace Jr. (knee): Limited
C Garrett Bradbury (rest): Full
CB Akayleb Evans (hip): Full
S Theo Jackson (hand): Full
TE Josh Oliver (wrist): Full
It’s going to be huge for the Vikings to have both Cashman and Pace in the lineup. That will allow Pace to do what he’s best at in penetrating in the run game and as a blitzer. Pair that with Cashman’s ability as a cover defender and you have a key aspect in the growth of Brian Flores’ defense this year.
The rest of the injury report is good for the Vikings. Everyone practiced in full on Thursday with the exception of Murphy who is still working his way back from a knee injury. It could be that the Vikings are just taking an extra level of precaution with him
