“Smart person, very modest” – Manager says Arsenal player can become world class, a little luck would help
Arsenal’s Kai Havertz was on the scoresheet for Germany in their recent 5-0 win over Hungary, as he put away a late penalty.
All things point towards Havertz finding some goalscoring form and taking his statistics to a higher level.
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has now spoken to Abendzeitung Munchen about the forward’s potential and progress, stating that the Arsenal man can turn out to be ‘world class’.
“Kai has made a big step forward in the last two years. He has the potential to be a world class player.”
Nagelsmann also praised Havertz’s work-ethic and personality, and suggested a bit more luck is perhaps deserved in front of goal.
“He runs an incredible amount and has become very clever. Sometimes he lacks a bit of luck when it comes to finishing.
“The role of co-captain is good for him. He is a smart person, very reflective, very modest.”
The praise isn’t a surprise at all, considering how the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man has now rediscovered himself at Arsenal.
On his arrival, there was talk about what his real position is but Havertz has now started to look like an established forward who has an instinct for goals.
More development in the same position will only see him score more, helping both club and country in the process.
