Social Media Goes Wild: Lamar Jackson and Marks Andrews’ Emotional Exchange Breaks the Internet
The sting of their AFC Divisional Round 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills is still there for the Baltimore Ravens. Perhaps no pain is greater than that of Ravens star tight end Mark Andrews, who has been largely blamed for Baltimore’s defeat to Buffalo.
On Thursday, Andrews expressed his feelings about the loss and his blunders in the Bills game through a heartfelt message he shared on Instagram, saying that he’s “ devastated for my teammates, my coaches and Ravens fans.”
Fans and football personalities alike have shown support for Andrews amid the tough stretch he’s going through following the painful defeat. Among them is Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who sent a powerful reaction to Andrews’ post.
“Love you bra,” Jackson commented using his new_era8 Instagram account.
Andrews had multiple miscues against the Bills, as he lost possession of the ball in the fourth quarter and mishandled a crucial two-point conversion try by Baltimore late in the contest.
As a dejected Andrews sat on the bench after his massive drop, Jackson came over to him to console the tight end. For what it’s worth, Jackson also had turnovers himself versus the Bills, as he threw an interception and a fumble in the first half.
Nothing appears to have changed about how Jackson views Andrews, who ended his post by saying he’s “going to do my part to bounce back.”
