Terry Rozier Exposes The Heats Deadly Flaw! The Reason Behind Miami’s Struggles Revealed
Miami Heat star Terry Rozier fronted up to the cameras after the team lost another close game.
The latest loss for the Miami Heat was a 109-114 loss to the Chicago Bulls. This was a fourth defeat in the last five games.
The defeats to the Timberwolves, Cavaliers, and Knicks all came by five points or fewer, with the win in this span coming against the lowly Wizards.
Following the Wizards game, veteran Terry Rozier pledged the Heat were going to ‘put our best basketball together this season’, vowing to play a huge role.
And while Rozier put up a useful 15 points against the Bulls, the team have now lost three in a row, and have dropped to ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Miami Heat ‘losing games in third quarter’
Speaking in the Heat locker room, Terry Rozier expressed frustration with the team’s inability to win lately.
He believes the Heat are losing games by coming out flat after half-time, and says the players are trying to figure it out.
Rozier said: “We don’t want to keep losing obviously, when we feel like we trend in the right direction, putting at least a good first half together, third quarter been killing us all season.
“That’s something we’ve been talking about. So we just got to figure it out. We don’t know if it’s half time or what it is, but as a group, we just got to rally around each other and figure it out.”
The Heat’s bigger problems actually appear to be more in the fourth quarter than the third. Too often they have failed to close out leads.
Asked if the losses are taking their toll on the team, Rozier said that cannot be an excuse for more bad results.
Rozier said: “Being our profession, [there’s] a lot of mental stuff we got to deal with. It shouldn’t be that crazy.
“It’s basketball at the end of the day, go out there. You give effort. So we just got to fix it, and we got to fix it now, because obviously we got 19 games. We got to put this together.”
Terry Rozier feels ‘effort’ is a problem
While Terry Rozier attributes ‘effort’ to a key part of winning, he feels it has been missing collectively in recent games.
Rozier said: “We feel like we’ve been trending in the right direction. right direction, obviously, you can’t win every game, this is a tough league to win in.
“We control what we can control but I think our efforts haven’t been there, especially when you not make your shots, so it’s been tough on us.”
Miami’s next game is one they should win, against the freefalling Hornets. But it then gets a little trickier, against the Clippers, Celtics, and Grizzlies.
