The Toronto Blue Jays have been trying to add one of the best players in baseball this offseason.

This is the second straight offseason that the Blue Jays have been involved in a franchise-altering sweepstakes. Toronto tried to land Shohei Ohtani last year and made it further along in the sweepstakes than expected.

Now, the Blue Jays are trying to sign Juan Soto. They have a lot of money to spend, but it does seem like Soto will end up elsewhere.

If that becomes a reality, it would make sense to target other outfield help and MLB Network’s Jon Morosi suggested former Boston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O’Neill.
