Unbelievable: Gene Steratore’s Comments Prompts Lamar Jackson to Reveal Odd Referee…
Lamar Jackson had some interesting things to say about what an official told him during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns game. Former NFL official Gene Steratore went to social media and said that the Browns should have been penalized for tripping Jackson. This led to Jackson going on social media to reveal what the referee told him after the play.
“Not even, Mf kicked me in the elbow lol but White cap said they can do that,” the Ravens quarterback wrote. Wowzers.”
In Steratore’s post, he wrote “Lamar Jackson extended the play with a juke, and a defender extended his leg to tackle him. This should have been penalized as tripping since there was no whipping motion with the leg. If there was whipping motion, it would be a foul for a leg whip. Both are 15-yard penalties.”
At the time, the Ravens were trailing the Browns 13-10 and ended up losing 29-24. Despite the loss, Jackson had a very strong performance, throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 46 yards.
Will Lamar Jackson have historic 2024 season?
Entering Sunday’s game Jackson had 1,810 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 455 yards and two touchdowns this season. Jackson is one of the favorites to win the MVP award, but will he ultimately have an historic season?
“This is unlike anything we’ve ever seen at the pro level. Jackson didn’t even hit these statistical benchmarks during his Heisman-winning campaign at Louisville. We’re watching one of the best seasons in the history of the sport. There’s an argument that it could go down as the best if Jackson can keep it up for the next 10 weeks. That’s what knocked Mahomes down to second place.”
